We're taking a 15 passenger van minus one seat and leaving tonight at 10 PM. There's supposedly going to be like 13 people going with us, and then 15 on the way back; since one seat is going to be missing the whole way, it should make for a fun ride.
I'm going to try and update this with funny/awesome/terrible things that happen along the way, so that should be pretty cool. In the mean time I'm doing laundry. Also, I probably will post nothing about the actual show itself, just what I happen to notice and what interests me.
So we made it to philly. It took 13 hours and there weren't any good ways to sleep. So once we got to our hotel (pictured) everyone relaxed.
Once it was time for the show we got here and found out we had to pay for the day that we weren't playing. So rick heather and I sat outside for almost all of the show and talked about certain people.
On a lighter note, Andrew (pictured below) came home from his 46 day European campaign. I was pretty happy to see him, and it was cool to hang with him.
Show ended. I didn't see Madball (or any other band) even though I heard they were terrible. Whatever.
I had been telling everyone about this place harms way went to over the winter called Geno's in south philly. Charlie called me a faggot, but we went none the less. Once we got there people decided it was bullshit and took the van to find veg/vegan friendly food.
Mean while me, James, ac, and the water town dudes got to eating our delicious cheese steaks. They only make them certain ways and also only serve you if you speak English. Geno is may or may not be head of the PA minutemen. Check this picture out:
Yeah so they're not kidding. But we ate and the V's came back and got pizza at some place by Geno's.
I'm in a bed with chris who is wearing as rick put it "shorts that are so gay I can't even say they're gay" right now, and were playing tomorrow at 1ish so well have a quicky and then hit the hay.
ZzzzzzZzzzzz
We found an all era video game resale shop in south Philly on south street. They had a wrapped hey you pikachu version of the N64, SNES & NES systems, NEW packaged games, accesories and others.
It was an awesome place, and then next door was a comic book store. I picked up Preacher 3&4, excited to check it out as drew says 4 is the best one.
Alright so I'm home now.
It's a lot harder to write shit on here and still enjoy myself than I had expected. So I'll just take pictures and then post/write about them later.
So after the shows last night (blacklisted was sick, comeback kid sucked) we went to the "Rocky" stairs at the art museum. We ran up them, took some crew shots, exactly what you would expect.
After that we were sitting in the van a little bit when this black dude on a bike rolled up and asked us for money. After some dialog between the man and Charlie, the man was persuaded to give us a demonstration of his vocal abilities by singing "Voice of Britain" by Skrewdriver. I will link the video asap.
FOUND IT AT Charlie's and Rick's Blog :
So I got home at around 4:30 and got a chance to chill. While we were shopping I also got a new pair of 90/360 hybrids:
And they're super comfortable.
I have work at 8AM tomorrow with Chris, were taking the kids to the zoo. Hopefully I'll be able to write something on here.
