Convicted/Killer Weekend highlights

Convicted and The Killer left for our Peoria and St Louis labor day weekend. (convicted also is playing Indianapolis on Sunday)

Yesterday we got off to a rough start due to unexpected traffic. The reality being it was a holiday weekend, friday after noon and we didn't realize that there would be traffic at 1pm.

By we I mean chris and I, and by chris and I I mean me. Charlie got out of his funk by a sticker on a truck that said "fuckaholic" and unfortunately I was too slow to get a picture of the sewer scum driving this truck.

Anyway, molly stole us a mattress from ikea. Yeah.

I grew up thinking I was just as normal as anyone else, but around Senior year of high school I realized just how fucked up my skeletal structure is.

There is a freak pinky.

Please note: my pinky does not reach the 3rd knuckle of my ring finger. Test it with your hands.

Last day of Summer

Today was the last day of summer day care at the Bloomingdale Park District, aka VE day.

Let me give you the run down of our itinerary today:

Arrive for morning care at 6:45
Sit there and watch Yu-Gi-Oh! until 8:30
Have "free time" from 8:30-9:15

Gamestop pt 1

This was inevitable.

I work at a Gamestop in Stratford square mall maybe 10 hours a week and for 8.75 of those 10 hours I do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

This has been my last 45 minutes:

I'm not really complaining. But if you're looking for a do nothing job, apply at a job in a mall and work during the week.

Lincoln Park Zoo

So at work today we took the kids to chicago's one and only Lincoln park zoo.

I used to think this place was a dump what with my favorite animals (elephants) having died off recently and it being a free zoo, but it's really not that bad.

To start it was gorgeous outside and I napped on the bus ride over. My group of 7 kids wanted to go immediately to the gift shop first...

This is Hardcore

So my band CONVICTED is playing a fest in Philadelphia this weekend called This Is Hardcore .

We're taking a 15 passenger van minus one seat and leaving tonight at 10 PM. There's supposedly going to be like 13 people going with us, and then 15 on the way back; since one seat is going to be missing the whole way, it should make for a fun ride.

I'm going to try and update this with funny/awesome/terrible things that happen along the way, so that should be pretty cool. In the mean time I'm doing laundry. Also, I probably will post nothing about the actual show itself, just what I happen to notice and what interests me.

Bored at Work

So I set up an iPhone specific blog while I was watching a capture the flag match at work.

My boss said I was worse than Remy when it comes to phone usage. Still not sure how he meant that, if I was Remy I would be worried about my crown.

Anyway I haven't figured if I'm going to use this often or not at all so well see.

In the mean time, check out some sweet pix I have of the CTF match and the things I do every day "work"







These are these crazy little keychain things we had the kids making today. The kid in the picture above the actual keychain couldn't figure it out even though he was 3 years older than kids who were figuring it out. Also, the girl to the right with the red hair JUST got done slamming her head against the wall, yelling, and crying because she ripped hers... wasn't quick enough with my camera for that action.





Ok update. Even though I am not stationed to be in the pool, I couldn't swim anyway because I was recently tattooed, and it's raining, I was scolded (thanks rick for the spellcheck) for not wearing my swim trunks at the pool.



So instead of wearing cargo shorts, I am now doing first aid watch in basketball shorts... Huge difference guys.

Also please note the iPhone's camera quality? I was impressed.
